After 15 years in Surry Hills, Toko has relocated to George Street in Sydney’s CBD. Since its inception, Toko has been at the forefront of modern Japanese dining in Australia.
Having designed and built the original restaurant, architect Matt Darwon of GP2 Projects was once again commissioned to design and construct the new premises.
To preserve the architectural identity synonymous with the Toko name, a palette of warm timbers, textured textiles, and ambient lighting was carried seamlessly into the new space.
Laser Blade downlights provide focused illumination over the central dining tables. With their minimal design and black finish, they blend discreetly into the timber ceiling, while white Laser Blades softly light the stairway.
