Woolley House-1

Designed for a steeply sloping site in inner Sydney, Ken Woolley’s Paddington House, completed in 1980, is a love letter to the modernist architect’s wife, Virginia Braden Woolley. Set over three compact levels, the house’s most striking architectural feature can only be seen from the rear garden, a round tower rising through all three levels, appearing to anchor the building to its base.

Thoughtfully restored and renovated by Casey Brown Architecture in 2022, the contemporary heritage home retains the full character of the original building.

The new work ensures that this significant heritage item remains a valuable contribution to the Paddington Heritage Conservation Area and a dynamic home for its new owners.

Palco Wall Washer spots, providing uniform, even illumination to artworks throughout the home, while View Opti Linear wall lights highlight the restored timber ceiling. The fittings are discreetly integrated, complementing the overall design with sensitivity.
